Angelina & Sarah Grimke

Angelina was born in South Carolina, February, 20th1805. She died in October, 26th November 1879. Her sister Sarah Grimke was also born in South Carolina, November26th, 1792. She died December, 23 1873. They both went against slavery, but were their parents were also slave owners. They always attempted their parents to let the slaves go. They always felt that it was bogus how they were getting treated. But their parents didn’t listen to them and kept on being slave owners. Angelina and Sarah didn’t live with their parents and they didn’t have any kids. They mostly traveled everywhere to get the rights for blacks to be freed. In November of 1829, Angelina moved to Philadelphia, were Sarah had already settled. While in Philadelphia they tried their best to make freedom herd, but the people in Philadelphia did not like what she was saying so basically they didn’t listen, and demanded that they leave the Philadelphia that instant. They went everywhere to try and end slavery but there hopes were gone. That’s when Angeliana began writinq letters to the news company about how slaves should be freed ,she also wrote about the Quakers they were also slaves and wanted freedom .
